In 2016 occupied VR first met with Rob Stewart the Visionary director behind the acclaimed Canadian documentary film Sharkwater. By putting shark exploration in the hands of the viewer, they are immersed in the underwater world Rob loved so much, and to which he dedicated his life.
Tragically in the midst of filming for shark Water 2 Rob passed away weeks before we were set to begin filming our VR project. with the help of his family and friends and crew we were able to create this underwater 360 experience and film in his honor.
As technical director on this project I designed the interactive sequences as well as consulted on the camera systems stitching and editing of the stereoscopic 360 video.
